Carol Behane

World Aids Day was a typical one at The Learning Theatre Organisation. Our actors were set and ready to perform our HIV/AIDS show called ‘Red Knot’. This show has been running for 11 successful years and the messages within are still as powerful as when it was first performed. What we forgot to take into account was the fact that since its inception our lead actress became a famous celebrity!

When Carol Behane entered the building madness struck, every single person, from the security guard, tea lady to the CEO of the company followed her every move. She gracefully posed for photos, handed out signatures and then, it was back to business. As always Carol gave a performance that left the audience spellbound and everyone experienced first hand what made her the famous actress she is today.

Carol Behane is best known for her role as Lebo Sibiya in SABC drama series Zone 14, since 2005. Other television series she has acted in include Justice for All, Keletso, Khululeka and Soul Buddyz. She also starred in the 2005 feature film Blood Diamond. Carol is fluent in Zulu, English, Sotho and Tswana, and when she is not acting she works as a personal instructor at Virgin Active…..Go Carol!!
